"Miss Fort Erie" is the followup to "East Coast," Hayden's first new music since 2015's Hey Love. Under grey skies, the gravely troubadour sets sail from Toronto for "this tale from the road" – a bittersweet rocker that recalls electrified Andy Shauf. Sweet but shaky, Hayden's familiar voice spans the full range of joys between a hometown show ("oh the whole place rang") and Buffalo ("for ten people").

We play Buffalo, for ten people, and then load our shit
Drive for under, half an hour, to some Motel 6
Watch some minutes, of some idiots, talking on some show
